Hailing from Pittsburgh, The Cheats were formed in 2001 by vocalist Todd Cheat (Eviction/ Silver Tongued Devil). With an ever evolving lineup The Cheats crafted a DIY punk n roll sound and style. The band garnered a nationwide following through many tours and the release of three full length albums. In 2018 The Cheats emerged with a new solid lineup injected with youth and hunger. Todd’s vocals are now joined by guitarists Devin Holiday and Rob Senomar, Philthy Phil on bass, and Kyle Cheat behind the drums. With renewed dedication the band wrote and recorded a new album in addition to playing 80 shows across 12 states in their first 15 months together. The Cheats dropped their new album, “Cussin’, Crying, ‘n’ Carrying On” in the summer of 2020. The new lineup brought a more diverse songwriting influence and expanded upon the classic Cheats sound. Stellar reviews emerged from all of The US and Europe. With a lightened tour schedule thanks to the pandemic The Cheats have stayed vigilant with their writing and are already beginning the recording of a new album. Twenty years in and The Cheats are far from slowing down or fading away, they may just be hitting their stride.
