Hailing from State College, Pennsylvania, Befell is composed of Bruce Boring (Guitar, Vocals), Mitchell Caprio (guitar), Jon Perini (Bass) and Jace Ebersole (Drums). Lovers of killer riffs and melodies, they combine thrashy and quick riffs with layered choruses that will get any crowd singing along. If metalcore needed any revival of the savage riffage and grooviness it once had, this is the band that will do it. They have no problem stepping outside traditional boundaries and structures while making the listener have a feeling of familiarity and comfort and have all the potential to bring in a new wave of metal with sheer ferocity. Having formed in the middle of the pandemic, writing remotely usually doesn’t generally generate the chemistry one would expect, but even over video calls and messages, it was clear the chemistry was top notch. The band all has the common goal of wanting to take their music out on the road and tour and despite Jace living an hour away and having met the others while forming the band, the common mindset of wanting to take this out and play live to people all around the world every night is what’s letting this machine fire on all cylinders.
