Things of Note
- Because we need the best audio and video as possible for the Roku TV stream, we request that you plan on using a computer with a microphone, headphones (to prevent feedback), and camera at the bare minimum. Please do your best to refrain from using your cell phone. If you must use a cell phone, it needs to be in a horizontal position.
- We do the live interviews on Mondays at 7pm using a website that requires no software installation. Please be in the virtual studio by 6:50pm. The interviews are both audio and visual. They are livestreamed via many social media destinations. The interview is then edited and used to create our podcast/radio show that is released at 10pm on Music from the 412, Build the Scene, Metal Shop 101, and XRP Radio stations. They also air on Music from the 412‘s Fire TV & Roku Channels.
- We will provide you with a special link to join our virtual studio. Everyone can attend the interview from their own locations. There is no software to download and no reason to sign up with the service.
- We will provide you with a link for your fans to watch and interact with us during the interview. Please share it on your social media.
- We will have a Facebook event set up as well, please invite your fans to it.
- Try to keep your language at about a PG-13 level or better. We do provide shows for a FM Station.

What to Expect
The interviews are conducted on Monday evenings at 7pm. Each episode/show is 1 hour long including your interview and music from local, indepedent bands. The Interview is broken into 3 – approximately 9 minute long segments.
Please be prepared to talk about your band history, upcoming shows, influences, venues, current issues on your local scene, other bands in your scene, etc. For more of an idea of what to expect, listen to some of our past Episodes.
How to tag your MP3 Files For Music Submission
The Important tags to include:
- Song Title – The exact, correctly spelled and punctuated name of the song.
- Artist Name – The primary peforming artist or band
- Album Name – The correctly spelled and punctuated name of the album or ep that the track comes from
- Track Number – The numerical location of the song on the album.
- Year/Release date – The year of the release or copyright.
- Genre – The main genre of the song
- Album Artwork -Embedded high-resolution square cover art.
- ISRC (International Standard Recording Code): The unique digital code for that specific sound recording, essential for tracking airplay and automated royalty reporting.
Other tags to consider:
- Composer / Songwriter Credits: The legal names of the writers and composers.
- Comments / Contact Info: A brief note containing the band’s website, label, or promotional contact email in the tag’s comment section.
