Pennsylvania Rock Show Episode 846: Dylan Bradley — From Western Pennsylvania Roots to Nashville Country

On Episode 846 of the Pennsylvania Rock Show, Bill Domiano sits down with Nashville-based country artist Dylan Bradley, a Western Pennsylvania native whose music connects the sounds, stories, and experiences of home with the songwriting traditions of Nashville.

Raised in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, just outside Pittsburgh, Dylan Bradley grew up surrounded by music. His early influences ranged from country favorites like Brooks & Dunn to rock artists including Pearl Jam and Meat Loaf. When his grandmother bought him his first guitar at just eight years old, she helped set the foundation for a musical journey that would eventually take Dylan from Western Pennsylvania to Nashville, Tennessee.

Dylan began performing in school talent shows before taking music more seriously in high school with November Blue. What started as a duo eventually developed into a major chapter of Dylan’s musical career. He began writing songs while attending college and working on the band’s first album, carrying that experience with him when he moved to Nashville in 2019.

For more than six years, Dylan performed with November Blue while becoming immersed in Nashville’s songwriting, recording, and live music communities. Playing multiple nights every week transformed music from a passion into a profession. The experience also helped Dylan develop his identity as a songwriter and discover the confidence, honesty, and personality that now define his solo music.

As a solo artist, Dylan released Keystone Kid, an album that reflects his Pennsylvania upbringing and the real-life experiences that continue to influence his songwriting. His music blends modern country, Americana, country rock, and singer-songwriter storytelling, creating songs that connect personal experiences with universal emotions.

Dylan’s journey has also taken him to some impressive stages and venues, including the Ryman Auditorium, PPG Paints Arena, The Pavilion at Star Lake, Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, and Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. He has also worked as a guitarist with rising country artist Lakelin Lemmings.

Now Dylan Bradley is entering another chapter of his career, bringing everything he has learned in Western Pennsylvania and Nashville into music that feels distinctly his own. His influences include Morgan Wallen, Stephen Wilson Jr., and Ruston Kelly, while his songwriting focuses on memorable melodies, authentic experiences, relationships, hometowns, growing up, and the roads that lead us back to where we started.

A major part of that new chapter is Dylan’s upcoming single “Read My Mind,” scheduled for release September 25. The song originated during a month-long songwriting challenge between friends and was inspired by a new relationship that felt almost impossibly natural. Two people finishing each other’s sentences, seeing life from the same perspective, and beginning to imagine what a future together might look like became the foundation for the song.
