Heath makes his first appearance on the Pennsylvania Rock Show to talk about his new book, The Band Book. He gives us a glimpse into his how-to book for bands. He talks about everything from e-mail lists, websites, and more. The book touches on everything you can think about including creating your setlists, stage setup, lighting, recording cds, press kits… if you can think of it, it is in there. He also provides many websites and resources for you to go along with his suggestions. Heath offers many, many tips and hints in this episode. Tune in to hear them! About The Band Book Author Heath Kipp has worked in just about every aspect of the music business for over 30 years. He has played in more than 13 bands, performed on 5 studio-recorded CDs, and secured an opening act spot for the jazz great Ramsey Lewis. He’s also worked as an audio engineer for numerous recordings and as a successful booking agent and promoter for a variety of bands. Heath has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Pittsburgh with a Minor in Music. His studies were focused in Mass Media, Marketing and Advertising. He also earned an Associate’s Degree in Music Business and Audio/Video Production from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, with major focus on Audio Recording and Live Production, Artist Development, Booking and Promotion.
