Rock for Life sponsors music festivals and other music-related and general fundraising events to raise the monies necessary to support its purpose. I’ve been working basically since I left the house on Friday to head to the Rock for Life 20th Anniversary! trying to come up with a special way to commemorate this occasion. I started work on the website for this series way back when the first one happened and I believe I have been to 18 of the August Rock for Life shows (and a ton of the other ones, too). This series of events is something that I am truly honored to have a small part in. Matt Ferrante, Steve Craven, and as Matt called them all his best friends put on a great event for an even great cause. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate what they do. Please take a moment and check out the link here that includes videos from the weekend, photographs that I took, and I podcast that I just finished up that includes the interviews from the videos. I hope my tribute gives anyone who has never been to one of these shows a little bit of an insight into what these shows are about… FAMILY! We did a little on the spot reporting at Iselin Community Park for the Rock for Life 20th Anniversary and this is the podcast and videos that will give you some insight into what the Rock for Life Concert Series really is.

Segment 1 with Neo Stem Normally I’d start off asking how you got your band name, but instead I’d like to know what band names didn’t make the cut. What does Neostem mean? If I was to go on tour with you, what would the sound track be like on the bus? Who would you say has influenced you the most as a musician? Why would Neostem be in my social studies book? If you could pick any band to observe for 1 year, who would you pick and why? What can you tell me about your song “Red Dress”? Segment 2 FTD Entertainment? If you could create a super band from the local scene, who would you put int he band. Which of your songs will survive an apocalyptic episode and help the new world form? What major band would you like to open for and where? What is one thing that you love about the scene and what is one thing that you would love to change? Where can we get a copy of your music? About Neostem NEOSTEM is band from Pittsburgh, PA that combines punk, grunge, alternative and a dash of metal that produces the rustic sounds that embodies the working class town in which they call home.
