We discuss Winter Descent’s new track, Fortune. We also talk about the community building that came out of the SOS 2020 project: being able to invite bands that weren’t necessarily involved in the song, involvement from places like First Angel Media. Originally forming in 2016 under the “Homegrown Hard Rock Showcase” moniker, The Crucible Project has blossomed into an organization that hosts a recurring monthly concert series, currently based out of The Funhouse at Mr. Smalls, with a focus on Pittsburgh and surrounding area-based rock/metal artists. Along with our partners Twist of Fate Productions, The Metal Edge, and First Angel Media, our goal is to showcase some of the best talent in the rock and metal communities that Pittsburgh has to offer. With an “artist first” approach and attention to detail, we strive to deliver an experience to both artists and fans that is nothing short of memorable. Segment 3 with Cate of Suffacate at Gigaroo How would you describe playing on the Iselin Community Park stage? We discussed the storm, Doppler Affect, alcohol, and her puking out of the backseat of my car for a bit. We talked about what bands should have been playing the rest of the night, but a blown transformer had actually ended the show, unbeknownst to us. The power came back on at approximately 4am. Segment 4 with Chris & Erik of Shattered at Gigaroo I offered the wrestle Chris, who has wrestled for many wrestling companies, and he tells us about it. What does Shattered have coming up? Robbie Perrone of East End, Adrenaline 101 radio, & Endeavor After, LLC stopped by to talk about Gigaroo, East End, and his shirt business. We talked a little bit about Robbie quitting cigarettes and vaping. Robbie talks about how Bill convinced him to let Bill design his website. Robbie takes a moment to thank the bands that have already purchased shirts through his company. We talked about the Hellfire Club recording last week. It was at this point that Robbie tells us that Gigaroo is officially the final East End peformance and Robbie announces that he is going to be in a Spice Girls tribute Band?!? Robbie talks about how celebrities should realize that they are there to entertain, not push political ideals. Jerry from Winter’s Descent joins Bill on the show for the second time (Listen to his first visit) and brought along the band’s drummer John. Jerry talked about thinking about moving the band to Nashville, but deciding that it wasn’t really the city for them. They had recently replaced their guitarist, Nick, and our ability to say Greek names is put on show. We also learn why his new nickname is “Triangles”. We talked about the Femme Fatale show. They talk a bit about their new originals, which includes a new acoustic song called “Paper Angels” In segment 2, we open up with Jerry asking Bill a question but it then transitions into a bad tattoo story. And in normal PARS tradition we just rambled about lots of things… we then transitioned into Rock for Life and some of their shows and that Winter’s Descent will be playing at Rocktoberfest. We then talked about how many covers and originals that they usually play in a set. We also talked about the band almost breaking up and that they talked about changing the band name.
