We took a bit of a detour this week and spoke with September from September Mourning. We started out talking a little bit about their current tour and where they’ve been and where they’re headed. We talked about the comic book aspect that is tied into the band’s image. It is around this time that we find out that the lead singer from The Art of Burning Bridges, Patrick Romanelli,  is now the guitarist for September Mourning. The first of 2 eps for TOABB has entered the mixing phase with Ocean to Ash‘s Kris Kilohertz, while Pat is on tour.   He plays the character Wraith. We also discussed how September got started in music (pop then rock), who supports her as a musician, endorsements, how long does it take her to get ready before a show, and when she decided she wanted to be a musician. We moved onto where the characters came from and how the comic book relates to the band and writing. We shifted gears to embarrassing moments on stage, or the lack thereof. Where does September discover new music? Who is a “new to her” band, that she is really into? We talk about the hip hop, country, and rock scenes and how they are different. 4/5 of the band Oceans to Ash joined Bill on episode 432 of the Pennsylvania Rock Show. They introduced themselves and their new single to our listeners. Shrouded in Neglect PARS431

Nate Kepner of Shrouded in Neglect made is first trip to the Pennsylvania Rock Show tonight, and yes ladies and gentleman, that means this is a metal show! We talked about where the band name came from (this was a new one for me) and how the band formed. We talked about a few other metal bands from the scene both early on and later in the show. We moved on to Nate’s influences which include but are not limited to Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake. (Okay maybe he mentions some metal bands and 90’s alternative bands, too). We then talked a little bit about the local band skell and Rock for Life this past weekend. Nate then tells us about his favorite local bands and we talked about our mutal friend at First Angel Media. He tells us about their song Here Goes the Lights off of their sophmore release Kill All Humans, which we played during the break along with Everything’s Fine by skell. Segment 2: At the beginning of the second segment, Nate talks about searching the Pittsburgh bands to get some great new music. We fan girled it a little and talked about the Penguins and Steelers. Once we got back on track, we talked about Nate’s favorite venues to play at and some of the big name bands (and influencers, is that a word?) that he has played with at the Altar Bar. We also talked about embarrassing situations that have happened to him on Altar Bar’s stage. Which Shrouded In Neglect song would Nate want to represent his band if only one of their songs could survive the apocalypse? Here’s a hint, it comes off of their EP, The Haunting. Joey Conner of Tilted Shadows returns to the show to talk about his upcoming solo album. We talked about his playing guitar for musicals. Joey talked about his upcoming solo recording and how it came about. He talks about how the EP will be distributed and how it was recorded. Segment 2 We talked about upcoming shows for Tilted Shadows, David Hipchen (apparently the whole band haha) Acoustic Joey talks about playing Deutschtown Music Festival twice in one day. He also talks about playing in a rock band as a younger person. We talk about Dave abusing Joey with his guitar and other embarrassing moments that happen on stage. What would we hear if we play a Tilted Shadows song backwards? Joey tells us which song he would like to survive the Apocalypse and represents his band for the rest of history. Joey gives an update on my general questions that I’ve asked him before: who are his biggest influences. Joe divulges what his favorite music related website is. Alter the Design dropped by to catch up with what’s been going on with them since we last spoke to them. We talk about which song they would like to survive the apocalypse. Robbie Perrone of East End, Adrenaline 101 radio, & Endeavor After, LLC stopped by to talk about Gigaroo, East End, and his shirt business. We talked a little bit about Robbie quitting cigarettes and vaping. Robbie talks about how Bill convinced him to let Bill design his website. Robbie takes a moment to thank the bands that have already purchased shirts through his company. We talked about the Hellfire Club recording last week. Robbie talks about the honor of playing Rock for Life Concert Series shows and the charity. Make sure to mark yourself going on the Facebook Event. It was at this point that Robbie tells us that Gigaroo is officially the final East End peformance and Robbie announces that he is going to be in a Spice Girls tribute Band?!? Robbie talks about the fact that they never told the new guitarist that he was really part of the band. They also will have  fill in drummer for Gigaroo, Sean Melvin of Raising Mother Kane. Robbie talks about how celebrities should realize that they are there to entertain, not push political ideals. Bill also gave a shout out to Superheroes Believe in Miracles and their upcoming benefit concert on July 21st.
