Lords of the Trident 3QS044

3 Questions and a Song for Lords of the Trident We talk about “Words from Fang” Usually I ask bands where their name came from, but for Lords of the Trident, I want to know where your stage personas come from. (see the legend) What are the qualifications required to be deemed the most metal band on Earth? When you guys write your music, do you have one person who writes all the music or does the whole band write it as a collective? asked by J-Rock of Shatterglass on episode #43 BONUS QUESTION: If Lords of the Trident and Dethlehem end up in the same realm and have to do battle, who ends up victorious? About the song, Death Dealer The first song off of “Shadows from the Past“, our 2018 release. Inspired by the game Diablo, it became a big hit for us when it was featured in the “Metal Bands React to Pop” YouTube video that went viral (with us in it). About Lords of the Trident Band Location: Madison, WI, USA Band Genre: Power/Heavy Metal Where to find them: Who are the LORDS OF THE TRIDENT? Hahaha…FOOL! You are not worthy to gaze upon their might! Their metal’s so pure that only diamonds can scratch it, and usually the diamonds are the ones that end up getting hurt in the end. Their amps are so loud, Manowar knocked on their door and asked them to “please turn down”. You think you’re bad? While you’re watching their sweep picking wondering how they bend space-time to fit all the notes in, they’ll punch you right in the face without missing a beat. If you like battle, bloodshed, axes, fire, and losing limbs, then mosh your way to the front row and receive your free ticket to Valhalla. If you don’t like these things – too bad. They’re playing anyway, and they’ll make sure to steal your girlfriend in the process.

Dethlehem PARS525

Brutalitus and Bovice of Dethlehem join episode 525 after embarking on their newest tale, Maelstrom of the Emerald Dragon. Dethlehem Segment 1 Famously, KISS put out and ad looking for a guitarist, worded “Lead guitarist wanted, with flash and ability. Album out shortly. No time wasters please.” Last week, KHULT HEADWIND, became a LVL2 and joined the warriors of Dethlehem. My question is, what does an ad looking for a new warrior look like? I mean, I have some gauntlets and an amulet, would that get me in the door? Normally I ask questions like, if your band was in a cartoon series, which series would it be and which character would be you; or if they made a rockumentary about Dethlehem, who would play you. What I want to know from you, is if you were from this realm, what would your day jobs be? If I were to go on a quest with you, what bands would provide the soundtrack in between battles? I also usually ask bands which songs of their’s would survive an apocalyptic event; however, for you I would like to know what that tale would be titled and how many tracks it would take for you to complete the quest? or more specifically how do you come up with the storyline for an album like Maelstrom of the Emerald Dragon? Does Overlord Brom keep that helmet on for the whole show? What is the reddish orange glow coming out of his helmet? When you guys are preparing for battle, what does your pre-show look like? How do you decide who you’re going to ally with on a night? Segment 2 with Brutalitus and Bovice Can you tell me about an embarrassing moment that you had during a quest? If you were given the quest to take over the world’s stages, which 2 unsigned bands would you ally with to accomplish that quest? Having just watched your release, I have to know… what is your best guess on how many hours went into getting Maelstrom of the Emerald Dragon finished… starting with writing the first thought down and ending with the Facebook Live. Can you quickly share your social media links, where your music can be bought, and anything you might have scheduled for the future? (A Dethlehem movie?!?!) What is the story about the wound on your face? (Brutalitus) Last question, step into your alter egos for a moment, and tell me something that you fans would be surprised to know about each of you, please. Xbox or Playstation? The legend of DETHLEHEM began in the realm of GHORUSALEM many eons ago. During their journey, the warriors of DETHLEHEM have traveled through time and space to do battle against dragons, wizards, warlocks, leviathans, shape-shifters, and a sh*t ton of other things that needed to be SLAIN (for XP, duh). https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfensvypjd4Cmkkcb1VsNDEmtE9CJugsxhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbjKAHuL7Hw

13 Saints

13 Saints join Bill for episode 378 of the Pennsylvania Rock Show. In segment 1, We talked about their beginnings and past bands, we talked about the shows that they’ve played in just over a year of existence. We also talked about the song Evel Kniviel Segment 2 started off with the band discussing their influences and we moved into talking about their biggest supporters or lack thereof. From there we moved on to discussing stories from the stage. We then transferred into talking a bit about the music scene itself including venues, pay to play, and more. At the end of the segment they tell us about the song Genius. We featured that song and Angry Itch’s song Heroes of Hate. Segment 3 opens with Bill asking Creep, Ernie, and Dave to tell him a bit more about the band that maybe nobody knows. They then talked about getting ready to record their second album and the recording process that they use. Bill asked them about the studio that they used to record Throwing Copper in Sharpsburg called Very Tight Recordings…. and more…. Who are 13 Saints? Facebook Official Website The music is a cross between crunching hard rock and melodicism, with guitar-driven songs that are hooky yet hard-edged. They combine strong melodies with loud power chords, incorporating rock and roll and punk elements but with alternative rock sensibilities. With jangly guitars and the pace and riffs of punk rock, arrangements are economical and performances are energetic. Songs come hard and fast and won’t wait for you to catch up. The songs are tight. The band is tight. Think the friendly hooks of a pop melody mixed with Marshall stacks and a relentless four-on-the-floor beat. It’s fast, loud, and unapologetic. Some would even say it’s a little undignified. Kismet? Destiny? Luck? All of the above! Four guys from different worlds – Philadelphia, Clarion, Burgettstown, and Long Island – met by happenstance in 2016 and form 13 Saints in Pittsburgh PA. These four been-there-done-that rock and roll veterans offer straightforward, cranked-up original rock and roll songs. No gimmicks. No whining. Not frilly, fancy, or complicated. Whether on a big stage or in your favorite dive bar, these guys are individually and collectively committed to giving the audience a memorable show. But they don’t take it all too seriously. They’re having fun. And so will you. If rock and roll is part of your DNA, then put 13 Saints on your must-see list. The debut album of 13 Saints, Crushing Copper, is available NOW and features11 tracks of gritty, passionate music. Crushing Copper is available for download from iTunes, and you can listen online at Spotify and our website (http://www.13saintsrock.com/music.html). You can also buy a CD at any show. More information including show dates can be found on our website: www.13saintsrock.com Booking and other contacts: 13saintsrock@gmail.com KNOW YOUR SAINTS! DAVE BUZARD. Upscale white trash guitar junkie and music addict. Grew up with just enough dysfunction to make him fun to hang with. Been playing so long that he really should be better at it! Owns some really cool hats because he owns some really shitty hair. CREEP NEWHOLLAND. Bassist, singer, and anger management counseling drop-out. British-rock-a-holic with a penchant for all things pre-1974. Having performed from New York to DC and everywhere in between, he is happy to now call Pittsburgh his home. ERIC CORBIN. He won’t give you the shirt off his back, not because he’s selfish but because he rarely wears one when playing the drums. Living by the motto “Variety is the shot of life, chased by moderation” Eric’s done it all – 70s KISS, 80s metal, 90s alternative, 00s garage rock, today’s whatever it is…and everything in between. ERNIE DIRT. Debonair ax slinger from a riffier time and a grittier place. If you aren’t willing to drive six hours on a school night to see your favorite bar band and then catch a half hour of shuteye at a truck stop before work, you can’t hang with Ernie Dirt.

A Wright of Passage

Lots of music and information for you in this episode. I took a moment to talk about the passing of Cliff from KGB. He was an integral part of our scene and he will be missed. I also did a segment that I titled A Wright of Passage. In this segment I featured songs from Step 11, (kaj), and skell. the link between these songs is that Walter Wright sang lead vocals on all of them. You can hear the progression of his vocals and see how he got to where he is now with what I consider to be the best metal band in the Pittsburgh area. You can read a cd review for their “Everything’s Fine” EP on our other site AK Music Scene. They are currently looking for a drummer to finalize their lineup. You can e-mail Mikey Palone if you think you have what it takes.
